Can I move the Fibre Box (ONT) myself?

The Fibre Box (ONT) is attached to the wall and we advise you not to move Fibre Box (ONT) at all. It is connected to the fibre cable and you may cause damage to the Fibre Box (ONT)  or fibre cables. A local fibre company (Chorus, Enable, TFF or Northpower) owns the fibre ONT infrastructure and they will need to get a trained technician dispatched to your property to make any changes.

Will there be any cost for Fibre Box (ONT) relocation?

When the fibre broadband is installed at your property for the first time, your local fibre company would have arranged a specialist to design how the fibre cable is installed from the road-end up to where the Fibre Box (ONT) is installed in your house now by signing on the agreement between the technician and the site contact (usually a legal property owner).

The first standard installation is usually free at no additional charge but moving the Fibre Box (ONT) is a chargeable service and require a new design and scoping work.

A cost to move the Fibre Box (ONT) depends on the complexity of what is being requested and what needs to be done for your request.
