What is a SIM number?
Your SIM (subscriber identity module) or called as ICCID is a unique number and normally printed on your SIM card. It is usually also printed on the SIM card packaging so please keep the packaging in case you need to swap it to a new SIM.
- A SIM card is usually between 16-19 digits long. It may start with the numbers 89 or 8964.
- In most cases, your mobile SIM number is not your mobile number.
- You SIM needs to be checked regardless of whether it is an eSIM or a physical SIM.
How do I check my SIM number?
iOS - Apple iPhone
If you own an iPhone you can check it from the mobile device's settings.
1. Go to Settings
2. Scroll down and find a General option
3. Go to About option
4. Scroll down and look for ICCID
5. You have just found your SIM card number.
Other operating system like Android
1. You may be able to find a SIM card number from the setting option on your mobile phone.
2. Many operating systems do not have an option so you may need to remove the SIM card from your device and it will be written on the SIM card itself.
SIM card FAQ
I don't have a physical SIM card. What do I do?
- Please refer to our eSIM guidelines here.
I am paying my mobile bill on a monthly basis. Where do I find a SIM number?
- If you are paying a bill on a monthly basis, you will likely have an account number instead of a SIM number.
- If you top up a pay-as-you-go, you are likely on a pre-pay plan.
Your possible mobile SIM numbers may be in the following format and within the total number of digits. The following table is just a guideline; we still advise you to double-check your prepay SIM numbers with your current mobile provider.
- If the SIM card number is longer than the numbers in the format below, you can cut off the last digit(s) and enter it.
- For example, if you are using a 2Degrees prepay SIM card with a 19-digit number, the corresponding entry in the table for a 2Degrees SIM card is only 18 digits. Therefore, you can disregard the last digit and only enter up to the first 18 digits.
