What is an ownership change?
The ownership change is a process to change the person in charge of the account to another individual.
When do you need to transfer your services?
There are various cases where you may need to transfer your account to someone else.
- You are moving out of the property and no longer need the service(s), and you want to transfer the service(s) to another individual or business.
- Your personal circumstances have changed and you need to transfer the service(s) to another individual or entity.
- You are either buying or selling a business and need to transfer the service(s) to a new owner.
How to request an ownership change?
Please follow these steps to proceed with an ownership change process.
- Go to MyMegatel App -> Forms -> Ownership change
- Choose either business or residential ownership
- Please read through the instruction and tap on "Submit" to send your request.
Important information about ownership change.
Before proceeding with the ownership change, please take note of the following.
- The current account holder will remain responsible for all charges incurred on the account until the transfer date.
- The ownership of the account will not be transferrable if there is any outstanding balance.
- It is the current account holder's responsibility to resolve any call charges incurred prior to the ownership change which may be billed on the following month. Please coordinate with a new account holder accordingly.
- Please note that a change of ownership fee at $60 incl.gst may be applied to a new account holder upon completion of the transfer.
** For business ownership change, we also require a new business owner to fill out and submit a personal guarantee form.
** If you want to add an extra person under your account as joint account, you can request it through MyMegatel App.
