Vector Entrust Dividend - What You Need to Know
Every year, Entrust distributes a dividend to all Vector electricity customers within the Entrust district. This dividend is paid to customers whose names appear on the electricity bill on the roll date. The Entrust district covers central, east, and south Auckland, including areas that were part of the old Auckland Electric Power board, such as Auckland, Manukau, northern Papakura, and eastern Franklin.
If you are unsure whether you should have received it, there are three conditions you need to meet:
1) You must live in the Entrust district on the roll date (typically in August each year).
2) You must have paid the electricity bill for the roll date.
3) You must be the person named on the electricity bill.

And here are some commonly asked questions about the Vector Entrust Dividend:
Q. How is the dividend paid?
A. Entrust pays the dividend by credit to your electricity account or as a direct credit to your registered bank account. In June each year, if Entrust doesn’t have full information about how you wanted the dividend paid, or if Entrust can’t make payment into your bank account, Entrust sends out a dividend notification form for you to complete and return so the dividend can then be paid into your bank account. Entrust can’t send cheques any more because banks are no longer accepting them.
Q. When is the next Entrust dividend going to be paid?
A. The dividend is usually paid in late September each year. For security reasons, the exact date is not disclosed before the payment is made but Entrust expects it will be around the usual time this year.
Q. When is the dividend roll done?
A. It is close to the dividend payment date. For security reasons the roll date and the payment date are not disclosed in advance.
Q. When will you know the exact date and amount?
A. For security reasons, the exact date is not announced before the dividend is sent out. The amount is announced once Entrust knows how much money they will receive from Vector.
