Waipā Networks April 2025 Customer Discounts
Q. Do I qualify for a Discount?
A. If you were physically connected to Waipā Networks and registered with an electricity retailer on and as of 23 April 2025 you qualify for a discount.
Q. How was my share calculated?
A. Discounts are calculated based on the discount rate applicable to your distribution price plan(s) for your property from October 2024 – March 2025. To view the applicable rates please refer to our pricing schedule.
Q I’ve only recently moved into my current property. How does this affect my discount?
A. Waipā Networks does not maintain a database of customers power use and can only tell how much power has been used at an individual property. Your discount may be higher or lower than expected depending on how much power was used at your current property before you moved in.
Q. I just left the area - will I get a discount?
A. Discounts were credited to accounts on 23 April 2025 (give or take a day or two). If you were responsible for the electricity account on the day the discount was paid into that account you should have received it.
Q. What wording will show on my account?
A. “Waipā Networks Discount” or similar.
Q. I've heard about additional credit payment from you.
A. If you are eligible customers in Waipā Network, you will receive credit on your account from 26th June 2025.
